The Battle against the “Evils” of “Arianism”

While browsing a website, I came across an article on a Catholic document on “Arianism.” I doubted if it was actually from the Catholic church, so I Googled some of the phrases and found the document on a Catholic site, which is proof enough to me.

The stuff in here is astounding. I used to have doubts on whether the trinity was real or not, and if I really was a heretic for not accepting it. Now those doubts are completely gone. This document unintentionally admits the true origins of the trinity doctrine.

The Jews proposed a supreme God who created by His word. It was an idea of a mediating “Word or Wisdom – the Word which is pronounced, the Wisdom which is created – whereby the Father communicated Himself to man and took possession of him (Guitton 1965, 81).” The Greeks could not see how a finite and changeable world could come from an eternal and changeless God. They proposed the idea of a “mediating Intelligence or even Word, a first emanation of the first principle which reduced the distance between God and the world (Guitton 1965, 81).” The primitive Church had to “reconcile the notions they had inherited from Judaism with those they had derived from philosophy.

“Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.”Colossians 2:8 (KJV)

In the Book of Acts, we see people who turned their life for God throwing away their past beliefs, not twisting the truth to justify them. Did you know Catholic means “universal?” The Catholic church was a combination of Greek philosophy, paganism, and the Gospel mixed together to appeal to all Roman citizens, subjecting them to the Roman Catholic State-Church. This church then sought to destroy even the slightest opposition with the fist of the Roman Empire. If you think I’m wrong, look in a history book; it’s right there. It becomes obvious why Constantine supported it so much. He turned the Roman government into a religion–a god.

The Council did triumph over Arianism but only after fifty years of bitter battling.

Yes, it certainly is difficult to burn thousand of books and burn people at the stake. It’s truly disgusting why this has gone virtually unnoticed by so many for so long. This “church” has been driving so many people away from God due to it’s hypocrisy and oppression.

Yes, that was harsh against the Catholic church, but sometimes you have to be. Jesus himself did the same thing with the Pharisees. I’ll probably write more on this subject later.

Research Paper: God, Individuality, and Religous Institutions

In my English class this fall, I wrote a research paper. It got an A, so I guess that it’s pretty good. So, like my earlier paper, I’m posting it online. Hey, why not?

In the modern western world, it has been often thought and told that God is a tyrant who hates individuals. This tyrant wants everyone to be a mindless drone. “On every hand are the enemies of individuality and mental freedom . . . At every turn we run against cherubim and a flaming sword guarding some entrance to the Eden of our desire” (Ingersoll par. 1). These opinions are often backed with examples of the Roman Catholic Church, the Puritans, John Calvin, or others. The advocates of these beliefs often hold the presumption that certain religious institutions and God agree on this matter. However, the Bible, along with other writings, shows how the God of Jesus (Hereby referred to as simply “God’) encourages individuality and why these religious institutions’ views on
individuality show they are separate from God. (more…)

Lots of Crap

Lately I’ve had quite a few (bad) things happen in my life. From death (more on that later), to bad grades (read the previous post), having my place of employment shut down, and a few other things. However, even with all of this crap around, I’m still looking to God.

I may sound crazy to some people for standing fast in such times, but I don’t care. Do soldiers run away during an invasion or ambush? Does a farmer sleep in on a cold morning? Of course not. If I want to get through this, I’m going to have to follow God.

What then shall we say about these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who didn’t spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how would he not also with him freely give us all things? Who could bring a charge against God’s chosen ones? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, yes rather, who was raised from the dead, who is at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Could oppression, or anguish, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Even as it is written, “For your sake we are killed all day long. We were accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” No, in all these things, we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Be a Hero

If you haven’t listened to “Hero” by Superchick, I strongly recommend that you do. This song gave me chills when I first listened to it. It’s really moving, and makes you wonder what impact your words and actions can have on the lives of others.

“There is one whose rash words are like sword thrusts, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.” Proverbs 12:18 (ESV)

The War in this World

http://www.venganza.org/

I really don’t mind if people disagree with the Intelligent Design theory or the movement to teach it in public schools. But to dis my God? Now I’m pissed.

I’m so sick and tired of this bullshit these people put out. They talk of themselves being wonderful, tolerant, and loving people, but their actions show otherwise. They’re tolerant of everyone except those who follow Christ. Everyone’s “tolerated” and “accepted” except us. But their lies are transparent. Robert Ingersoll, a non-believer, wrote that the church must ultimately be destroyed. This is their true goal. Don’t be fooled by their sugar-coated words.

It doesn’t surprise me though, Jesus said they are already antichrists in the world (1 John 2:18). We’re in a war, but not with guns and tanks and bombs. This is a war for lives, the lives of everyone. Whose side are you on?

Church, we need to band together and fight this war. Enough of the man-made doctrines. Enough of the thick theology and pride. Enough of the silence and “tolerance” We need to band and stand together to fight this war.

You are soldiers, start acting like it. Let’s stop trying to “get through life.” We need to stand and fight for our God. We fight for our country. When someone disrespects our country’s troops, we object immediately. Why don’t we fight for our troops. Yahweh and Jesus’ troops?

Enough hiding, let’s stand up and fight.
